The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has called for a meeting with all student organizations to address the current situation in the country following recent clashes at various colleges in the capital.
The meeting is set to take place on Monday evening at the central office of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Rupayan Tower. Several student organization leaders have confirmed their participation.
Efforts to contact members of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement for comment have been unsuccessful.
Meanwhile, the Democratic Student Alliance, a coalition of left-wing student organizations, has yet to decide on attending the meeting. Meghmallar Bose, president of the Dhaka University branch of the Student Union, stated, "A decision will be made after discussions with everyone in the alliance. The talks are ongoing."
Similarly, sources suggest that the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, has not yet decided whether to participate.
