Samir Chandra, the President of the Krishak League, has been arrested.

On Thursday, police arrested Samir Chanda, the president of the Krishak League, an affiliate of the Bangladesh Awami League. The arrest took place around 1 a.m., confirmed by DMP Public Relations and Media Wing Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman. According to the DMP, Chanda has multiple cases filed against him at various police stations across the capital.

In 2019, the central committee of the Krishak League was formed, with Samir Chanda being elected as its president.
