Jahanara and Sharmin are back in the Bangladesh squad for the Ireland ODI series

The Bangladesh women’s national team has made several changes to their ODI squad for the upcoming Ireland series, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announcing the squad on Monday. The series will start on November 27 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
Sharmin Akter Supta, who last played in a WODI in July 2023, has been recalled, along with veteran bowler Jahanara Alam, who last featured in the 50-over format in May 2023.
Additionally, Taj Nehar and Shanjida Akhter Maghla have earned their first call-up to the ODI squad.
On the other hand, Disha Bishwas, Nishita Akter Nishi, and Sumaiya Akter have been dropped from the squad. Disha has been placed on the standby list alongside Dilara Akter, Jannatul Ferdus Sumona, Sarmin Sultana, and Fariha Islam Trisna.
As part of the ICC FTP Programme, Bangladesh will host Ireland for three ODIs and three T20Is. The ODIs will be played in Mirpur, while the T20Is will take place in Sylhet.
