Government employees to receive dearness allowance

The government has announced its decision to grant dearness allowance to all of its employees. Mokhlesur Rahman, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, shared this update with reporters at his office in the Secretariat this morning. He also mentioned that the committee, which was formed to recommend the allocation of dearness allowance for government employees under the National Pay Scale 2015, will convene next week to make further decisions on the matter.

The final decisions are expected to be reached within two to three meetings, he added. The seven-member committee is chaired by the Principal Secretary to the Chief Adviser.
