Chinmoy's request for bail has been denied
A Chattogram court has refused bail to Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, a former ISKCON leader, during a hearing conducted under stringent security measures today.
Chattogram Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Saiful Islam denied the bail plea after approximately 30 minutes of arguments from both sides, according to Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Advocate Mofizur Haque Bhuiyan. Earlier in the day, a team of 11 Supreme Court lawyers arrived at the court around 10:15 am to represent Chinmoy in the high-profile case. However, despite their efforts, the court ruled against their plea.
