Train bound for Dhaka derails near Airport Station

A Dhaka-bound Jamuna Express train derailed near the Airport Railway Station on Saturday morning, disrupting rail operations on the route to the capital.

Railway officials said one coach of the train went off the tracks around 8:10 am.

Kamalapur Railway Station Master Anwar Hossain said efforts are underway to clear the derailed coach.

He added that several trains scheduled to depart Kamalapur between 9 am and 12 pm for destinations in both the eastern and western zones may face delays due to the incident.
