Three assistant commissioners have been removed from their positions.
The Ministry of Public Administration has dismissed three trainee Assistant Commissioners (Executive Magistrates) from government service.
The decision was issued in an official circular signed by Senior Secretary Ehchanul Haque on Wednesday.
The officers removed from service are Kazi Arifur Rahman, posted in Faridpur; Anup Kumar Biswas, posted in Bogura; and Nabomita Sarker, posted in Pirojpur. All three were undergoing foundation training at the time.
The notification states that the three trainee Assistant Commissioners from the 43rd BCS (Administration) cadre were dismissed under Rule 6(2)(a) of the Bangladesh Civil Service Recruitment Rules, 1981.
It also notes that any financial liabilities owed to the government during their period of service will be recovered under The Public Demand Recovery Act, 1913.
