Tarique urges the creation of a Bangladesh that upholds dignity for all
During the programme, wheelchairs were distributed to 10 children with special needs.
BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Friday called for collective efforts to build a Bangladesh where every citizen can live with dignity and self-respect.
He made the remarks around noon while addressing a wheelchair distribution programme for children and adolescents with special needs at a hotel in Bogura.
The event was organised by CSF Global, with the initiative led by Dr Zubaida Rahman, wife of Tarique Rahman, and was broadcast live on the BNP’s verified Facebook page, party sources said.
Speaking as the chief guest, Tarique said, “Let us work together to create a Bangladesh where everyone, in their own way, enjoys dignity and lives with self-respect.”
Emphasising society’s responsibility towards children with special needs, he noted that many of them possess unique talents and potential.
“If we support them at social, political and state levels, Bangladesh will be able to bring forward many talented individuals,” he said.
Addressing the programme, Zubaida Rahman outlined her vision for a future Bangladesh, reaffirming the BNP’s commitment to national development and the promotion of humanitarian values.
As part of the programme, wheelchairs were distributed to 10 children with special needs.
