Tarique Rahman Heads to Beijing from Dalian by Bullet Train

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman left Dalian for Beijing on Wednesday at 2:00pm local time aboard a high-speed bullet train, accompanied by his wife, Dr Zubaida Rahman.

Earlier in the day, at 10:00am local time, he attended the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Summer Davos at the Dalian International Conference Center.

The 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions brought together a number of global leaders, including Prime Minister Amadou Oury Bah of Guinea, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov of Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Kim Min-seok of South Korea, Prime Minister Nyam-Osor Uchral of Mongolia, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić of Montenegro, and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. The forum attracted more than 1,700 participants from over 90 countries and regions, comprising political leaders, business executives, academics, and media representatives.

Tarique Rahman’s participation in the Summer Davos forum is expected to bolster Bangladesh’s efforts to attract foreign investment and generate employment opportunities, while also enabling the country to draw on global best practices and experiences to further enhance its national development capabilities.
