Tarique Rahman attends International Workers' Day rally in Nayapaltan

Tarique Rahman, BNP chairman and prime minister, joined a workers’ rally organised by the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal to mark International Workers' Day at Nayapaltan in the capital on Friday.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP secretary general and minister for local government, rural development and cooperatives, had reached the venue earlier.

Tarique Rahman arrived at the rally site in front of the party’s central office around 4:20pm.

Leaders and activists from different units across the capital began arriving in processions from early afternoon. A large number of working women, alongside male participants, were also present.

Senior party figures, including former ministers and MPs Aman Ullah Aman, Aminul Haque, Habibur Rashid Habib and Salahuddin Tuku, attended the programme as well.
