Pakistan Envoy Calls on Foreign Adviser
Pakistan High Commissioner in Dhaka, Imran Haider, paid his first courtesy call on Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.
During the meeting, both sides expressed appreciation for the recent high-level engagements and ministerial exchanges between the two countries, including the visit of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Bangladesh in August 2025, according to a foreign ministry press release.
They also highlighted the successful conclusion of the 6th Foreign Secretary–level Bilateral Consultations in Dhaka in April 2025 and welcomed the upcoming 9th meeting of the Joint Economic Commission, scheduled to be held in Dhaka on October 27, 2025, after a long interval.
The adviser expressed satisfaction over the progress made recently in several areas of cooperation, including the simplification of visa procedures and the resumption of air connectivity.
The discussion also covered various bilateral issues and emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration across multiple sectors.
The foreign adviser assured the high commissioner of full support and cooperation throughout his tenure in Bangladesh.
