National Citizens Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam emphasized the need for a swift trial for the repression that occurred during the July coup, stating, "Justice can help alleviate the pain of those who sacrificed their lives and those who were injured, at least to some extent. This trial should serve as a precedent to prevent the rise of fascism."

On Tuesday morning, NCP leaders visited the graves of the martyrs of the July Uprising at the Rayerbazar Massacre Ground in Dhaka, where Nahid Islam made these remarks. Prior to this, they paid tribute at the National Memorial in Savar around 8:30 AM.

Addressing the upcoming elections, Nahid Islam stated, "The Constituent Assembly election will pave the way for a new constitution and a truly democratic process. It can be held alongside the parliamentary election as part of the national elections, enabling the creation of a new framework and a restructured Bangladesh."

Chief Organizer (Northern Region) Sarjis Alam expressed strong views, asserting, "Until the murderer Hasina is brought to justice, no one should speak of elections." He further claimed, "It remains unknown where Hasina disposed of the bodies. Grieving mothers are still searching for their loved ones. How can we focus on anything else in Bangladesh before justice is served?"

Chief Organizer (South) Hasnat Abdullah stated, "The government has been established through the bloodshed of students and the public. If justice is not ensured, the entire process will be questioned. The legal process must be expedited, even if it requires increasing the number of tribunals."

Other prominent NCP leaders present at Rayerbazar included Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari, and Senior Joint Chief Coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud.
