Gold prices reached an all-time high of Tk1.51 lakh per bhori
The new prices will take effect on Tuesday.

Gold prices in Bangladesh have reached a new all-time high, with the price of 22-carat gold increasing by Tk1,470 to Tk1,51,282 per bhori (11.664 grams), marking the highest rate ever in the country.
This decision was made by the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) during a meeting on Monday, in response to the rise in the price of pure gold in the local market.
As per a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, the committee’s chairman, the price of 22-carat gold is now set at Tk12,970 per gram, and 21-carat gold at Tk12,380 per gram.
The price of 18-carat gold is now Tk10,611 per gram, while traditional gold is priced at Tk8,739 per gram.
These new prices will take effect on Tuesday, the release added.
Meanwhile, the prices of silver have remained unchanged.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk221 per gram, 21-carat silver is Tk210, 18-carat silver is Tk181, and traditional silver is priced at Tk136 per gram.
