Gold prices in Bangladesh have risen once again, with the price of 22-carat gold increasing by Tk5,482 per bhori.

In a press release issued on Monday morning, the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) announced that the new price of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk230,422 per bhori (11.664 grams).

The revised rates took effect from 10:00am on Monday, according to the association.

BAJUS said the latest adjustment was made following an increase in the price of pure (tejabi) gold in the local market and after considering the overall market situation.

Under the new pricing structure, the price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk219,983 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will be sold at Tk188,549 per bhori. Gold produced using the traditional method has been priced at Tk153,557 per bhori.

The latest increase comes just days after BAJUS revised gold prices on 13 June. At that time, the association raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk6,590 per bhori, bringing it to Tk224,940 per bhori.
