Extensive security measures arranged to ensure the peaceful observance of Eid-e-Miladunnabi

The government has put in place extensive arrangements nationwide to ensure the peaceful observance of Eid-e-Miladunnabi, which will be marked tomorrow.
Special focus has been given to maintaining secure and orderly congregations and processions, particularly in major cities including Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Khulna, and Rajshahi.
Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has instructed law enforcement agencies to remain on high alert and ensure stringent security measures, especially around prominent mosques and other religious sites expected to draw large gatherings.
Heightened surveillance and patrolling are already in effect at sensitive locations. Steps have also been taken to ensure efficient crowd management and to regulate traffic for the smooth movement of devotees.
Eid-e-Miladunnabi holds deep significance for Muslims worldwide, commemorating both the birth and passing of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). The occasion will be observed across the country tomorrow with due religious solemnity.
Various government and non-government bodies, including the Islamic Foundation (IF), have prepared elaborate programmes to mark the day.
According to the Hijri calendar, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, on the 12th of Rabiul Awal in the year 570, bringing a divine message of peace for humanity. He also passed away on the same date.
