DSHE calls on schools and colleges to initiate awareness campaigns on COVID-19 and dengue prevention
The authority also directed that both teachers and students be actively involved in the campaigns.

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has directed all educational institutions across Bangladesh to actively involve both teachers and students in awareness campaigns targeting the prevention of coronavirus and dengue.
The instruction, issued through a notice signed by DSHE Assistant Director (General Administration) Khalid Hossain, urged institution heads to strictly implement the outlined measures.
To curb the spread of COVID-19, the notice advises avoiding large gatherings, wearing masks in public, washing hands with soap for at least 20 seconds, maintaining a minimum three-foot distance from infected individuals, refraining from touching the face with unwashed hands, and covering the mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing.
In addition, schools and colleges have been asked to engage their communities in nationwide dengue awareness activities. The directive follows a recent rise in both Covid-19 and dengue cases, prompting authorities to reinforce health and safety protocols in educational institutions across the country.
