City Bank Unveils Bangladesh’s First American Express Metal Credit Card

City Bank announced the launch of the City Bank American Express® Platinum Reserve Credit Card—Bangladesh’s first American Express metal card—at a ceremony held on Thursday. This exclusive, by-invitation-only card blends personalised service, premium lifestyle privileges, travel benefits, and rewarding experiences tailored to meet the dynamic needs of today’s customers, according to a press release.

The unveiling ceremony took place at a hotel in Dhaka, graced by City Bank Chairman Aziz Al Kaiser, Managing Director and CEO Mashrur Arefin, AMD and CFO Md Mahbubur Rahman, DMD and Head of Retail Banking Arup Haider, Head of Cards Tauhidul Alam, along with other senior officials.

Each card member is assigned a dedicated relationship manager, and the card features a real-time auto-debit facility for seamless transactions. Users can also earn up to 10X Membership Rewards® points at select merchants, which can be redeemed for annual fees, bill payments, or purchases at leading restaurants and outlets.

Furthermore, the card promises exclusive culinary experiences, including specially curated dining at select international restaurants and a Buy 1 Get 2 complimentary buffet offer at top five-star hotels in Bangladesh.
