Chhatra Sangbad apologizes and retracts controversial article that defamed the Liberation War
In response to the recent controversy, Islami Chhatra Shibir has removed specific lines from the online edition of its magazine, "Chhatra Sangbad," that were considered defamatory to Bangladesh's Liberation War.
The organization issued an apology, stating that the inclusion of the controversial lines was "unintended." In their statement, Chhatra Sangbad expressed regret over the article that sparked controversy surrounding the Liberation War. They confirmed that the article has been removed from the online edition, and all printed copies of the December 2024 issue have been recalled.
Previously, several student organizations, including Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, had protested the publication for defaming freedom fighters and the Liberation War.
