The main Eid prayer was held at the National Eidgah in Dhaka, where thousands, including government officials and community leaders, gathered to seek blessings. Similar prayers were conducted across cities, towns, and villages, fostering a spirit of unity and joy.
Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus extended his greetings to the nation and Muslims worldwide on this joyous occasion. Families are preparing traditional Eid delicacies such as semai (vermicelli dessert), while many are visiting relatives, exchanging gifts, and celebrating together.
Shopping malls and markets saw a surge in activity in the days leading up to Eid as people purchased new clothes and festive essentials. To ensure a peaceful celebration, security has been heightened across the country, with law enforcement agencies deployed at major prayer venues.
