A 3.3-magnitude earthquake jolted the Baipail area of Gazipur
Yesterday, a powerful earthquake claimed the lives of at least 10 people.
A mild earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale was felt in Gazipur’s Baipail area on Saturday morning.
Officials reported no immediate damage or casualties.
Nizamuddin Ahmed of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department confirmed that the tremor struck at 10:36am.
The incident comes a day after a powerful quake shook several parts of the country, including Dhaka, leaving at least 10 people dead—four in Dhaka, five in Narsingdi, the quake’s epicentre, and one in Narayanganj.
