Two people shot in dispute over Mohammadpur kitchen market committee

Abul Hossain, president of Mohammadpur Kitchen Market, and his younger brother Mahbub Hossain were shot and injured on Thursday night in a dispute over the formation of the market's committee. According to witnesses, attackers on a motorcycle fired at the brothers while they were inside the market committee office near Shia Masjid around 9:30 p.m. before quickly fleeing the scene.

Fellow traders rushed the injured men to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College, where they are currently receiving treatment. Hospital sources reported that Abul suffered leg injuries, while Mahbub was shot in the back.

Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shamim Reza confirmed the incident but mentioned that no case has been filed as of yet.
