The NBR has extended the deadline for submitting tax returns to January 31

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the deadline for income tax return submissions for all taxpayers, excluding companies, by another month to January 31, 2025. This extension applies to both offline and online submissions.

The decision, announced in an order issued today (Tuesday), comes in response to requests from various stakeholders and taxpayers. According to the order, individual taxpayers and other non-company taxpayers can now submit their returns without penalties until January 31, 2025.

Additionally, the NBR has extended the deadline for company tax returns to February 15, 2025, in a separate order. Previously, the deadlines for submitting tax returns were set for December 31 and January 15.
