Rahat Fateh Ali Khan contributes to the cultural advancement of Bangladesh through his services

Renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has expressed his willingness to support the cultural enrichment of Bangladesh. 

He shared this sentiment during a meeting with Md. Nahid Islam, Adviser for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, held at the Secretariat on Sunday.

Khan also extended his gratitude to Bangladesh's interim government for inviting him to the country.

Adviser Nahid Islam lauded Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as a gifted artist, describing him as a cultural gem not only for Pakistan but also for the global music community, including the subcontinent. He noted Khan’s immense popularity in Bangladesh and thanked him for his performance at the Army Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.

The adviser underscored the importance of organizing such musical events, especially in the context of the post-July Uprising era.

The meeting was attended by Pakistan's Deputy High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Mohammad Wasif, along with Dr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman, Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Department; Mahbuba Farzana, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting; and other officials.
