Farida Akhter stated that the term "minority" should have no place in Bangladesh

Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter stated on Thursday that the term "minority" should not exist in Bangladesh, emphasizing the need to avoid distinctions among Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians in the country.
"Everyone in Bangladesh is a citizen, and it is not our role to create divisions based on religion," she said during an event marking the 50th anniversary of HEED Bangladesh at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the capital.
Farida Akhter noted that HEED Bangladesh is celebrating its 50th anniversary at a time when a new Bangladesh has emerged through the collective efforts of students, workers, and the masses. She added, "The children being educated by HEED Bangladesh today will ensure its legacy continues for the next hundred years."
Earlier, the Adviser inaugurated the anniversary celebration by releasing pigeons and balloons, followed by cutting a cake to commemorate the occasion.
