51 Bangladeshis Detained at Kuala Lumpur Airport for Fake Documents and Immigration Evasion

• Fifty-one Bangladeshis were detained at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for attempting to enter Malaysia using fraudulent hotel booking documents.
• Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) reported that among 67 foreigners screened at the terminal's arrival hall, 51 had discrepancies in their documents.
• Some individuals displayed suspicious behavior, delayed document submission, and attempted to evade immigration checks.
• One person even tried to escape during verification but was apprehended.
• Authorities denied them entry under the Immigration Act 1959/63 due to fake documents, insufficient financial proof, and unclear reasons for travel. Some admitted they had come to seek employment.
• The detained individuals will be repatriated soon.
• Notably, on March 17, 15 Bangladeshis were also detained at the same airport while trying to enter Malaysia under the guise of being cricketers.
