39 Bangladeshis deported from the US return to Dhaka

A total of 39 Bangladeshi nationals were deported from the United States and arrived in Dhaka on Saturday morning aboard a chartered C-17 US military aircraft, immigration police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) confirmed.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the deportation is part of the US government's continued enforcement actions against undocumented immigrants—a policy initiated under former President Donald Trump and maintained by subsequent administrations.

With this latest group, the number of Bangladeshis repatriated from the US under similar circumstances has reached 157, following the earlier return of 118 individuals.
