US-Iran talks: No one expected a deal in a single session, says Tehran
Iran’s foreign ministry said no one had expected that talks with the United States would reach an agreement in a single session after negotiations in Islamabad stalled on Sunday.
“From the outset, it was unrealistic to expect a deal in just one round. No one had such an expectation,” ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said, according to state broadcaster IRIB.
He added that Tehran remains “confident that contacts with Pakistan, as well as with our other regional partners, will continue.”
