UN Under-Secretary General Commends Bangladesh Army's Professionalism and Expertise

UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix has lauded the professionalism and expertise of Bangladesh Army personnel serving in UN peacekeeping missions. He shared his appreciation during a meeting with Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman in Dhaka on Monday.

In a statement shared on the official Facebook page of the Bangladesh Army, it was noted that Lacroix discussed a range of issues, including expanding deployment opportunities, enhancing training, and strengthening the capacity of the armed forces for peacekeeping operations.

Lacroix also commended the army's professional conduct in its ongoing 'Aid to Civil Power' operations within the country. During the meeting, General Waker-Uz-Zaman reaffirmed Bangladesh’s strong commitment to supporting both current and future UN peacekeeping deployments and pledged continued cooperation.
