PM urges not to judge criminals by their political identity
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Monday urged law enforcement agencies to deal with offenders as criminals, regardless of their political affiliations.
“Corruption and terrorism must be treated as crimes committed by individuals, not viewed through political identity,” he said while addressing senior police officials at his office during Police Week.
Describing the police as “the reflection of the government,” the Prime Minister said the administration is committed to turning the force into a genuinely people-oriented institution.
He said the government’s vision of building a prosperous, self-reliant and compassionate Bangladesh is not just a slogan, but a sincere objective.
Calling on police personnel to play a more responsible role in maintaining law and order, Tarique Rahman said the force must work with dedication to ensure peace, security and stability for the people across the country.
The Prime Minister also directed law enforcement agencies to stay alert so that no one can engage in communal unrest or acts of sabotage.
