Peking University awards an honorary doctorate to Prof. Yunus

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus was awarded an honorary doctorate by Peking University (PKU) this morning.  

The honorary degree was conferred during a ceremony at the university's conference hall in Beijing.  

On this occasion, Prof. Yunus also delivered a lecture.  

Following the conclusion of his four-day visit to China, he is scheduled to return home this evening.  

Among those present at the event was He Guangcai, Chair of the Peking University Council.
