BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has declared that Tarique Rahman is the country’s future Prime Minister.
Speaking on Saturday (9 August) at the national council of the Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Fakhrul said that the 31-point plan presented by Tarique Rahman holds the potential to bring transformative changes to the nation’s healthcare sector and other fields.
He stressed the need to break free from the entrenched culture of mutual hostility, which he said has caused significant harm to the country.
Criticising various government policies, including those related to the pharmaceutical industry, Fakhrul emphasised that safeguarding people’s rights goes beyond ensuring the right to vote—it means protecting all their rights.
He also urged the government to provide medical care for those injured in the July mass uprising.
