Hadi murder chargesheet due by January 7: Home Secretary
So far, eleven individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.
The chargesheet in the murder case of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi will be submitted by January 7, Home Affairs Senior Secretary Nasimul Ghani said on Monday.
He made the announcement while speaking to reporters at a press briefing at the Secretariat.
“The chargesheet in the Hadi murder case will certainly be submitted by January 7. It has already been prepared and is currently under final review. Once the review is complete, it will be submitted,” he said.
Sharif Osman Hadi, who was also a prospective candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, was shot in the head on December 12 while travelling in a rickshaw along Culvert Road in Puratan Paltan.
He was later flown to Singapore for advanced medical treatment, where he died from his injuries on the night of December 18.
So far, eleven people have been arrested in connection with the case.
