Gold price reduced: How much does a bhori cost now?
Gold prices in Bangladesh have been lowered by Tk3,266 per bhori, bringing the price of 22-carat gold to Tk234,855, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).
In a statement issued on Tuesday morning, BAJUS said the adjustment was made in line with current market conditions, particularly following a decline in the price of pure gold (tejabi gold) in the domestic market.
The new rates took effect from 10pm on Monday.
Under the revised pricing structure, a bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold will now cost Tk234,855, while 21-carat gold has been priced at Tk224,182 per bhori.
Meanwhile, the price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk192,164 per bhori, and gold produced using the traditional method will be sold at Tk156,473 per bhori.
