Eid-ul-Azha: Tamabil Land Port Trade Suspended for 11 Days

Export and import activities through the Tamabil land port in Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet will remain suspended for 11 days starting Thursday, marking the Eid-ul-Azha holidays—one of the most significant religious festivals for Muslims.
Md Omar Faruk, election commissioner of the Tamabil Land Port Limestone Importers Group, confirmed that the organisation has decided to halt all trade operations from 5 June to 15 June. "Port activities will resume on 16 June," he said.
However, Md Samim Mia, in charge of immigration at Tamabil, assured that immigration services will continue as usual throughout the Eid period, including on the day of Eid itself. Passport holders from both countries will be able to travel without disruption.
