BNP to host a reception for Tarique at 300 Feet on December 25

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced that it will accord a reception to its acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, at the capital’s 300 Feet area following his return to Bangladesh on December 25.

BNP leaders said Tarique is expected to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 11:45am that day, after which the party will organise a mass gathering at 300 Feet to welcome him.

Ahead of his arrival, senior BNP leaders on Thursday met with top officials of the Civil Aviation Authority to discuss airport arrangements and overall management.

The BNP delegation included Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Media Cell Convener Maudud Ala Pavel, and Chief Security Officer Brigadier General (retd) Dr Shamsul Islam.

The leaders also reviewed security arrangements at the airport during the meeting.

BNP leaders said the party is coordinating closely with the authorities to ensure the reception programme is conducted smoothly and securely on the day of Tarique’s arrival.
