Three affiliated wings of the BNP — Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, and Swechchhasebak Dal — are gearing up to hold a large-scale rally titled "Establishing the Political Rights of the Youth" in front of the party’s central office in Naya Paltan on May 28. Organisers announced the event at a press conference on Saturday, projecting a turnout of up to 15 lakh participants from Dhaka, Sylhet, Faridpur, and Mymensingh.

In the lead-up to the event, the three wings have been conducting month-long outreach initiatives aimed at mobilising youth across the country.

“We saw a massive youth turnout in Chattogram, and we fully met our targets in Khulna and Bogura,” said Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani. “In Dhaka, we expect a record-breaking crowd of 15 lakh young men and women,” added Jubo Dal General Secretary Nurul Islam.

He also alleged that public sector jobs under the previous government were allocated based on political loyalty, and stressed that BNP would prioritise merit-based employment. “The youth want guaranteed jobs, and BNP can deliver that. If elected, we’ll create one crore jobs within the first 18 months,” he said.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will join the rally virtually as chief guest, where he is expected to present the party’s roadmap for the future, covering issues such as governance, political reform, and youth empowerment. Senior BNP leaders including Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Salahuddin Ahmed are also slated to address the gathering.
