A new political coalition comprising three parties is poised to form ahead of the 13th National Election.
A new three-party political alliance, which includes the National Citizens Party (NCP), is set to be unveiled ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The coalition also brings together Rashtra Sangskar Andolon (Movement for State Reform) and the Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party).
According to local media, the alliance will be officially announced on Sunday (7 December) at 4 pm at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU).
The development was confirmed in a statement issued by Mushfiq-us-Salehin, joint member secretary and head of the NCP’s media cell.
The statement noted that a press conference titled “Political and Electoral Unity for Upholding the Pledges of the July Uprising and Forming a New Political Structure” will be held at 4 pm at DRU, where leaders from all three parties are expected to be present.
