"Perth to Host 2025-26 Ashes Opener"

Perth will host the opening Test of the 2025-26 Ashes series, ending Brisbane's nearly 40-year streak of staging the opener for the Australia-England rivalry. The first Test will be played at Perth Stadium starting November 21, 2025. Cricket Australia confirmed that the second match, a day-night Test, will be held at Brisbane's Gabba from December 4. The series continues with a pre-Christmas Test in Adelaide, followed by the traditional Boxing Day match in Melbourne, and concludes with the New Year's Test in Sydney. This will be the first Ashes Test at the new Perth Stadium, replacing the old WACA ground used in 2017.
