Nasum and Nahid are set to join the squad in the UAE on Thursday

Nasum Ahmed and Nahid Rana are set to join the Bangladesh squad in the UAE today, after a visa delay prevented them from being available for the first ODI against Afghanistan at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. A BCB source confirmed to *New Age* on Wednesday that the duo is scheduled to fly to the UAE at 10:00 AM today.

Left-arm spinner Nasum was recalled to the 15-member ODI squad after last playing for Bangladesh during last year’s World Cup, while pace bowler Nahid received his maiden ODI call-up.

However, they were unable to join the team in the UAE due to delays in obtaining their visas. As a result, Bangladesh had to select their XI for the first ODI from just 13 players.

Bangladesh will play two more ODIs in the series, with the second match scheduled for Saturday, and the final game at the same venue on November 11.
