The interim government will not allow the "fascist" Awami League to hold protests in Bangladesh tomorrow, stated Shafiqul Alam, the Chief Adviser's Press Secretary. "The Awami League, in its current form, is a fascist party. There is no way this fascist party will be permitted to hold protests in Bangladesh," Alam wrote in a Facebook post today. He also issued a warning against any attempts to organize rallies or processions under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina.

The interim government, he added, will take necessary measures to prevent any disturbances to law and order. The Awami League has announced a program at Shaheed Noor Hossain Square in Dhaka at 3:00 pm tomorrow to observe Shaheed Noor Hossain Day.

Additionally, the party has planned a protest march calling for the removal of anti-democratic forces and a return to democratic governance, according to a press release shared on the party's official Facebook page.

The Awami League has also urged its members at the district and sub-district levels to align their local events with the central program.
