Three more children die after developing measles-like symptoms.
Three more children died after developing measles-like symptoms across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS control room disclosed the information in a press release issued today.
According to the release, 876 patients with measles symptoms were reported during the 24-hour period, bringing the total number of suspected cases to 147,591 between March 15 and August 21.
Meanwhile, 64 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed measles cases to 18,208 since March 15.
The release said 128,825 patients with measles symptoms were admitted to hospitals across the country during the period. Of them, 124,558 recovered and were discharged.
No deaths from confirmed measles were reported in the past 24 hours. However, the number of confirmed measles-related deaths has reached 99 since March 15.
