Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will work on Saturdays to accelerate administrative activities.
Newly elected Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will now attend office on Saturdays as part of an initiative to expedite administrative work.
Officials said the move is intended to inject greater momentum into governance and ensure the swift implementation of priority policies.
Soon after taking office, the prime minister also announced that lawmakers would not be provided with duty-free vehicles or residential plots — a decision that has been widely welcomed.
He additionally directed ministers to avoid unnecessary expenses and uphold austerity in official spending.
For the second straight day, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended office at the Secretariat on Thursday.
