Prime Minister attends startup programme at Dhaka University

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman attended a special programme titled "Youth, Startups and Bangladesh of Possibilities" at the University of Dhaka (DU) on Tuesday.

He arrived on the campus in the morning and was welcomed by leaders and activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, while many general students also greeted him.

The event is being held at the university's Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban and has been organised by the government's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division in collaboration with the University of Dhaka.

As the chief guest, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the National Startup and Entrepreneurship Platform. After the inaugural session, the programme will be opened to the public from 1:00pm.

A major attraction of the event is the launch of the National Startup and Entrepreneurship Platform, a digital initiative aimed at fostering the country's startup ecosystem.

The platform will provide entrepreneurs with a one-stop portal offering access to government support programmes, application procedures, training, mentorship, investment opportunities, partner organisations, and other essential resources to help launch and grow their businesses.
