Police HQ reported that out of 103 complaints received through a newly launched hotline for immediate action against violence against women, 62 were deemed irrelevant. These included requests for phone numbers and inquiries about private hospital doctors.

According to the statement, the hotline became operational at 4 PM on Monday, and by 8 AM on Tuesday, a total of 103 complaints had been recorded, UNB reports.

For cases requiring urgent intervention, police officers were dispatched promptly. In instances where immediate action was unnecessary, legal guidance was provided.

Authorities urged the public to avoid making irrelevant complaints to the hotline numbers (01320002001, 01320002002, 01320002222) to ensure the service remains effective.
