He also urged everyone to preserve the sanctity of the holy month.
Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the interim government, has conveyed his greetings to the people of the country and Muslims across the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
He urged all to maintain the sanctity of the blessed month. In a message issued on Sunday, the chief adviser described Ramadan as a time for self-discipline, sacrifice, compassion, and spiritual renewal.
He said that through fasting, charity, and various acts of worship during this sacred month, believers have the opportunity to purify their souls, deepen mutual compassion and harmony, and seek the pleasure, nearness, and forgiveness of Almighty Allah. Yunus noted that Ramadan inspires both individuals and the nation to shun injustice, corruption, and wrongdoing, and to strive for the establishment of a just and welfare-oriented society.
Alongside devotion, he added, Ramadan nurtures morality and humanity by encouraging truthfulness, justice, integrity, and empathy, while awakening a sense of responsibility toward the poor and underprivileged.
Calling upon the nation, he said, “Let us draw inspiration from the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan, avoid extravagance, hatred, and hostility, and dedicate ourselves to increased worship, recitation of the Holy Quran, prayers, repentance, and good deeds to attain the pleasure of Almighty Allah. Let us safeguard the sanctity of Ramadan.”
He prayed that Almighty Allah accept the fasting, prayers, charity, and all righteous deeds of the people, grant them the strength to embody the lessons of Ramadan in their lives, forgive and protect all, and bless the country and the nation with peace and prosperity.
