Amid reports of COVID-19 cases surfacing in some parts of the country, the government today advised the public to wear masks in crowded areas.

In a message issued to the media, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare specifically urged elderly individuals and those with underlying health conditions to avoid congested places.

“In light of the rising number of COVID-19 infections, everyone is requested to wear masks in crowded areas. Elderly and sick individuals are advised to steer clear of such gatherings,” the statement read.
