ACC Summons NCP Leader Salauddin Tanvir for Interrogation

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has summoned Gazi Salauddin Tanvir, Joint Member Secretary of the National Citizen Party (NCP), for questioning over allegations of accumulating illegal wealth worth hundreds of crores of taka through a range of corrupt practices. These reportedly include abuse of power, lobbying, extortion, tender manipulation, and other irregularities.

Md Rafiquzzaman, ACC Director and Head of Investigation, confirmed the development to the Daily Sun.

As per the notice, Tanvir has been asked to appear at the ACC headquarters in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, on May 21 at 10:00am to provide his statement regarding the accusations.

Sources within the ACC said the summons was dispatched to Tanvir’s residence in Kabilpur village under Sonatola Thana of Bogura district. The letter was signed by ACC Assistant Director SM Rashed Hassan.

"Tanvir has been summoned for questioning over allegations of amassing illegal wealth amounting to hundreds of crores of taka through various forms of corruption," said Director Rafiquzzaman.
