US Secretary of State Rubio extends Independence Day greetings to Bangladesh

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has extended congratulations to the people of Bangladesh on the country’s 56th Independence and National Day, reaffirming Washington’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation.

In a statement issued on March 25, Rubio said, “On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Bangladesh on your Independence Day.”

He noted that this year’s observance comes at a significant moment as Bangladesh enters a new phase following recent elections. Highlighting the enduring partnership between the two countries, Rubio said the United States values its ties with Bangladesh, built on a shared commitment to a free, open, secure, and prosperous Indo-Pacific.

“We look forward to further strengthening our economic and security cooperation for the benefit of both our peoples,” he added.

“As Bangladesh marks this important occasion, the United States reaffirms its commitment to deepening our partnership and extends its warmest wishes,” Rubio said.
