Targeting the Two Holy Mosques is a grave crime committed by the Houthis.
Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti, Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars and Head of the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan, has condemned the Houthis’ targeting of worshippers travelling to the Two Holy Mosques, describing the act as a grave crime.
In a statement, Al-Fawzan said the Houthi militia’s attacks on civilian facilities and the killing of innocent people, including worshippers heading to the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, constituted some of the gravest crimes, warning of severe punishment from Allah Almighty.
He also said that throughout history, those who targeted holy sites and people travelling to the Sacred House of Allah had faced destruction and dire consequences.
The Grand Mufti prayed for an end to the group’s actions and asked Allah Almighty to protect Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries.
