Portfolios assigned to newly appointed ministers and state ministers
Portfolios in the newly formed government have been allocated among the ministers and state ministers who were sworn in yesterday afternoon.
According to a Cabinet Division gazette notification, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman assigned the responsibilities following the oath-taking ceremony. Earlier, President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath to the prime minister, ministers and state ministers at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.
As per the notification, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been given charge of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, while Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury will oversee both the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Planning.
